Application to review – REDUCTION IN RANK, PERIOD OF INELIGIBILITY FOR PROMOTION – review under s.146(1)(e) of the Victoria Police Act 2013 – decision made under section 125(1) following a breach of discipline (improper conduct) in permitting alcohol to be consumed on police premises and sitting in on a discipline interview involving a drink driving charge against a member who consumed alcohol on police premises – INAPPROPRIATE WORKPLACE BEHAVIOR BREACH INSTRUCTION, CONFLICT OF INTEREST, ALCOHOL – factors considered included evasive answers and conflict of interest , poor judgement, decision was not harsh unjust or unreasonable – reduction in rank confirmed; period of ineligibility for promotion reduced from 2 to 1 year.
